Subject: A song of remorse for St. Peter after he denied Jesus three times. Jesus turned and looked at Peter, and Peter remembered the predictions of the Lord: "Simon, Simon, behold Satan has demanded to sift all of you like wheat . . . I tell you, Peter, before the cock crows this day, you will deny three times that you know me."
This song indicates that Jesus was scourged "endlessly" based on the revelations of the Blessed Mother to the Venerable Mary of Agreda in "The Mystical City of God, Volume III, The Transfixion." The Blessed Mother indicates that Jesus was scourged 5,115 times by six executioners.
